The story by Edgar Allan Poe is very unusual. It is about a guy who doesn’t like another guy’s eye and tries to kill him. Before he gets to his bed, three policemen show up because the neighbor heard screaming and called the police. The guy shows policemen the house and shows them that there is nobody in the house but him. Then they all sit down to talk. The guy hears his own heartbeat but thinks that it is the old guy’s heartbeat and he admits to killing him.
